Characteristics of on-line pH meter
Mettler toledo can provide thousands of electrodes according to the viscosity, particle and adsorption of the medium used by users, as well as the temperature and pressure of the medium. Users can make targeted choices according to actual needs, which can improve the accuracy of measurement. InPro4800 series pH electrodes currently used in dye factories are especially suitable for measurement in harsh chemical environment. Accurate and reliable measurement data can be provided in oxidizing medium, strong acid and alkali, high pressure process and high temperature conditions.
InPro4800 series pH electrode has long service life, because it has strong corrosion resistance to oxidizing media, solvents, strong acids and alkalis. At the same time, the diffusion route and annular liquid junction (PTFE) of the electrode can also effectively prolong the service life of the electrode. The diffusion path with pressure compensation enables it to be measured in the environment with high process pressure, which is specially designed for high temperature. It can be used for measuring in media with high particulate matter and fiber content, and flat glass film (built-in grounding) can be selected.
As the pH meter is an on-line analyzer, according to the relevant management regulations of the company's on-line analyzer, each pH meter needs to be cleaned and calibrated every month, which requires the selected pH meter to be simple, convenient and safe to operate. Mettler toledo's online pluggable pH meter just meets the above requirements. When on-line inspection is needed, the electrode can be pulled out smoothly by pulling out the bolt on the sheath, and the front end of the sheath automatically contracts and closes due to the action of the spring, thus blocking the leakage of materials.
Mettler toledo's pH transmitter also has the function of manual activation and holding, which keeps the output signal at a set value when the electrode is replaced or calibrated. This is necessary for the pH meter participating in the automatic adjustment loop control to avoid loop fluctuation caused by the operation of the pH meter. Mettler toledo InPro4800 series pH electrode used in dye factory does not need to be refilled with electrolyte, and M400 transmitter adopts two-wire system, which completely solves the problems of many wires, heavy workload and easy wrong connection in the past.
Improvement of on-line pH meter
When the pH meter is used for a long time, it is difficult to pull out the electrode due to the polymerization of the medium. With a little force, the tail rubber handle will be damaged. After improvement, the factory changed the tail rubber handle to a stainless steel handle, which makes it easy to pull out the electrode when it is stuck by polymer. In view of the phenomenon of electrode breakage during the reaction, we preliminarily determined that there are two reasons. The first reason is that large pieces of ice may break the electrode during the ice adding process, and the second reason is that the electrode is subjected to radial stress of rotating materials during the high-speed stirring process. Through repeated experiments, it is found that adding a protective sleeve (as shown in Figure 1) into the flange mouth can effectively prevent the electrode from breaking without affecting the measurement results.
